DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (April 22, 2013) – As if RoadRace Factory rider Tomas Puerta’s Motorcycle-SuperStore.com SuperSport victory at Daytona this year wasn’t enough to be proud of for the newly formed race team, Danny Walker (founder of RoadRace Factory) and company put two riders in the top five at this year’s DAYTONA 200.
Jake Gagne rode his No. 32 RoadRace Factory Yamaha YZF-R6 to a fourth-place finish while teammate J.D. Beach wasn’t far behind aboard his No. 95 RoadRace Factory Yamaha YZR-R6, landing in fifth place at the conclusion of the 57-lap shootout. The two were in the front of an all-Yamaha pack.
“Gagne and I are a great mix out there,” said Beach. “We met back at the 2008 Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup and we’ve had a great friendship ever since. RoadRace Factory has put together a phenomenal team and I can’t thank them enough for the opportunity they’ve given me. We all work really hard to be on the same by race day and it really paid off at Daytona. We’ll look to continue rolling at Road America in a few weeks.”
The three-rider RoadRace Factory team consists of Beach, Gagne and Puerta and the trio certainly made a name for themselves in the opening round of action at Daytona International Speedway. Look for this triple threat to make another big impact come May 29 – June 2, 2013 when Round 2 of GEICO Motorcycle AMA Pro Road Racing is set to commence at Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wis.
