Lancaster, PA (May 27, 2013) – After a successful debut on the asphalt in Daytona, Cory Texter and his team are ready to tackle Round 2 of the GEICO Motorcycle AMA Pro Road Racing series at Road America in Elkhart Lake, WI this coming weekend. The Subway SuperBike Doubleheader will take place on May 31-June 2.
After a strong top-15 performance at his debut road race in Daytona with the MOB Racing/Black Hills Harley-Davidson/Invisible Glass team, Texter eyes improvement at the famed Wisconsin course this coming weekend. “I am really excited about Road America. I watched my Dad race there as a kid. Daytona was good for me. My goal was to get some seat time on the bike and keep it up on two wheels. I first sat on a road race bike about 5 months ago (2 months before Daytona), so a mid-pack finish in Daytona at my first race was good for the team and myself. I have had a few track days since Daytona and I am feeling much more comfortable and a lot more confident in myself headed into Round 2”, states a very enthusiastic Texter.
Cory will also be at the Harley-Davidson Museum on Thursday May 30th for their 110th Anniversary Bike Night. Cory has grown up with the brand since birth and is excited to make his first visit to the museum. Come by the event at 5pm to talk about the new experience on the asphalt and grab an autograph.
The weekend kicks off for the Harley-Davidson's on Saturday June 1st with practice and qualifying one. Qualifying two is set for Sunday morning and the green flag drops for the race at 2:15 CST on Sunday June 2nd.
