Track - 2014 - Barber Motorsports Park

NEWS February 27, 2013

For Round 3, AMA Pro Road Racing returns to Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham, Ala. for a full weekend of SuperBike racing on June 21-22, 2014. The event will mark the first two-day event weekend of the 2014 AMA Pro Road Racing season. With immaculate grounds and fan-friendly viewing areas complemented by giant art sculptures that are strategically placed throughout the facility, this is one of the most interesting tracks in the country to visit.

As if the racing action wasn’t enough, the historic venue is also home to the Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum which contains over 750 vintage and modern motorcycles for avid race fans to take in over the course of the weekend.

The 2013 event saw Josh Hayes, on the back of his Yamaha R1, dominate both AMA Pro SuperBike races. In AMA Pro Daytona SportBike, Cameron Beaubier’s monster 2013 campaign continued at Barber, as the young star won both races in convincing fashion. In AMA Pro SuperSport, rookie phenom Joe Roberts took the field by storm as he dominated both races and collected the first two AMA Pro wins of his promising career, while Steve Rapp took home yet another win in the AMA Pro Vance & Hines Harley-Davidson Series.
