Team Press Release Issued by Monica Cruz-Hernandez for Meen Motorsports:

CAMPBELL, Calif. (May 8, 2012) – Matching his season’s best finish, Bobby Fong concluded his Great Clips West Coast Moto Jam weekend with a 7th and 6th place finish in the AMA Pro Go Pro Daytona SportBike class.

With strong starts in both races, red flag restarts proved demanding obstacles for Fong, who tackled them forcefully, working his way back to the front of the pack for his top ten finishes. Most notably, in Sunday’s race, his battle for 4th heated up, engaging in a three way encounter with JD Beach and Cory West. Riding in 5th on the last lap, Fong made a bold move to pass West, going into turn 11 side by side, passing him into 4th place position on the brakes, but then costing him his drive, putting him into 6th, with Beach and West catching him going into the start finish line.

“Every weekend my goal is a top-three finish, so to say I am not disappointed would be untrue. I ride to win,” Fong states.

In the AMA Pro SuperSport class, Meen Motorsport’s rider Travis Ohge finished 8th in race one and 9th in race two, placing him 4th in points for the West Division Series Championship.

Meen Motorsport’s rider Nadr Riad, made great progress as well, his lap times dropping consistently throughout the weekend.

The Meen Motorsports Team will be heading to Miller Motorsports Park next, racing May 26- 28, 2012.
