DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (February 6, 2013) – One of the biggest storylines heading in to the 2013 AMA Pro GoPro Daytona SportBike season is the addition of James Rispoli, two-time AMA Pro Motorcycle-Superstore.com SuperSport Champion. At just 19-years-old, Rispoli has already made his mark on the sport and will be looking to add multiple podiums and quite possibly another championship to his resume in 2013.

“I’m very confident going in to this season,” said Rispoli. “Last year, I rode mainly at the front of the pack the whole time, pushing my own wind and looking at almost nobody. This year, I expect it to be a grind and am aware of the strong competitors I’ll be up against. It looks like a lot of young talent is prevailing as of late which gives me a lot of confidence that I can run with these guys and that I do belong here. My biggest goal this season is to be in the best shape out of anyone on the circuit. I won’t sit here and guarantee anything because I like to let the results do the talking. One thing is for sure, I can’t wait for Daytona.”

Rispoli is the beneficiary of a renewed partnership between Michael Jordan Motorsports and National Guard/Celtic Racing. The Ormond Beach, Fla. resident will make his AMA Pro GoPro Daytona SportBike debut on a Suzuki GSX-R600 next month when the season kicks off. Rispoli will mark the very first rider Michael Jordan Motorsports has ever put in the Daytona 200.

After capturing back to back SuperSport titles in 2011 and 2012, Rispoli obviously is a prime candidate to make a lot of noise as he steps up to the AMA Pro GoPro Daytona SportBike ranks in 2013.
