Campbell, CA - (January 16, 2014) Meen Motorsports is proud to announce they will be fielding a second rider in the AMA Pro GoPro Daytona Sportbike class for the 2014 season. 16 year old Tucker Lancaster will be teammate to 2013 AMA Pro GoPro Daytona Sportbike rookie of the year, Jake Lewis, piloting a Meen Motorsports Yamaha YZF-R6. Having captured two national championships and three club championships in 2013, all on a Yamaha R6, Lancaster will make the step up to the AMA Pro Racing level, focusing exclusively on the competitive Daytona Sportbike class for a smooth transition into the AMA Pro Racing circuit.
"I'm happy for this opportunity to move up to the AMA Pro Racing series on the Meen Motorpsorts team. When I recently tested on Jake Lewis's bike from last year I felt really good on the Meen Motorsports Yamaha R6. I look forward to more pre-season testing and learning from Jake's experience. With the team 100% behind me, I can't wait for the Daytona 200," states Lancaster.
Meen Motorsports team owner Ameen Sajjadi comments, " I am very excited for the opportunity to introduce such a talented young racer to AMA Pro Racing. This year is about buliding a solid foundation for Tucker and using our resources to help him to keep on progressing in his successful career. With the support from our new sponsors, Graves Motorsports and Yamaha Motor Corp, we look forward to another successful season on the Yamaha YZF-R6."
The Meen Team's first 2014 AMA Pro Road Racing event will be at the high banks of Daytona International Speedway on March 13-15, 2014.
