DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (April 28, 2014) – Road America is one of the most historic venues in all of motorsports. Located in Elkhart Lake, Wis. this beautiful track measures in at just over four miles and is the longest on the 2014 AMA Pro Road Racing calendar. In one month, the series will make its annual stop at the classic speedway on May 30-June 1 for the Subway SuperBike Doubleheader.

Cameron Beaubier proved that he clearly has what it takes to compete at the elite SuperBike level during Round 1 at Daytona with third and first place finishes. It will be interesting to see how the Monster Energy Graves Yamaha rider fares after one round of experience under his belt.

Three-time SuperBike champion and teammate to Beaubier, Josh Hayes looks to rebound in 2014 after coughing up the No. 1 plate to last year’s teammate Josh Herrin. Although Herrin graduated to Moto2 last offseason, it became evident early on that Hayes’s path to regain the title didn’t get any easier, as Beaubier seemingly brings just as much talent to the table, if not more than Herrin did in his time at the AMA Pro level. Hayes currently sits in fourth in the SuperBike standings after first and 21st place finishes at Daytona, while Beaubier remains atop the leaderboard.

In GoPro Daytona SportBike competition, Danny Eslick has opened up an enormous lead in the points heading into Road America. After earning the DAYTONA 200 pole and victory, Eslick’s 60 points are 18 more than second-place contestant Jake Lewis. At 27 years old, Eslick appears to be at the pinnacle of his career and the Oklahoma product certainly looks poised to continue his impressive campaign aboard his Riders Discount Triumph Daytona 675.

The fast and flowing 4-mile natural road course at Road America will serve as the theater of war for the AMA Pro Road Racing Subway SuperBike Doubleheader on May 30-June 1, 2014. One of the most exciting and challenging tracks on the AMA Pro Road Racing calendar, this annual two-wheel celebration draws huge crowds for a weekend full of doubleheaders in four AMA Pro Racing classes. Fan activities include on-site camping and open karting.
