Johnson won the AMA Pro Flat Track GNC2 title in 2014, earning himself a National Number for his rookie season in GNC1. In 2015, he'll ride the No. 77 machine.
Johonson was as good as anyone in the sport when he was on, as evidenced by his class-leading four victories and seven total podiums, which helped him earn the overall GNC2 championship. But his title didn’t come without drama. Johnson finished 14th or worse on four occasions, and suffered a hand injury at Peoria. He missed the Springfield Mile, a non-points events for the singles, but returned in time to win the championship by a single point.
